The First Baptist Church of Weddington was looking for an updated look to their website. It had been several years since the first website was built and the framework and software were getting difficult to work with and update. At times, they were unable to add or edit any content.
They decided that the best course of action would be to completely redesign and rebuild the website from the ground up, so that’s what we did.
The church organized a committee for the specific task of gathering ideas for the design of the new website. They involved leaders in their respective ministries to input on the design and have their wishes heard. Overall they decided on an open style for the homepage, easy to navigate, with a fresh and modern look.
I was given some great ideas and a general page structure and they let me choose the best way to lay it all out. Of course, I added several touches of my own.
I used WordPress as the CMS because the church needed an easy-to-use backend that they could add sermons and other content to easily.
We chose the Avada theme as a foundation to develop from because of its flexibility and solid design, great support from the developers, and future-proof updating.
The church now has a modern, great-looking, mobile-friendly website that they can enjoy and that will honor their commitment to their ministry and service for years to come.
